Why is there a Research and Planning Fee? The travel industry has evolved to charging a research and planning fee. This fee assures we are both committed to your great trip. My fees mean I work hard for YOU, not the supplier. I research destinations and suppliers, plan your itinerary, book all aspects of the trip, provide links to documents and confirm the components of your trip. I am also with you every step of the way in case you encounter any unanticipated issues. Except for the fee, you pay no more and often pay less or get special perks by hiring me for your travel agent. The suppliers, not you, pay us commissions which is not paid until after your trip. So, if for any reason, you cancel your trip, we don't receive commissions even though we did the research, planning and booking for you. My non-refundable Research and Planning Fees are for:
We will meet via phone, internet or in person for approximately one hour for your discovery conversation. This initial time investment will save us both time and money because I will uncover what motivates and excites you about travel. I will help you assess and prioritize the facets of your trip: destination, transportation, dining, accommodations, activities, length of trip and time of year.
During the next week, I will curate one unique, custom itinerary tailored to your style, taste and budget as well as at least one other you possibly never even dreamed of. With my membership, training and preferred status with vetted suppliers through Virtuoso travel consortium as well as other suppliers throughout the world, I will include personalized, unforgettable experiences, expert guides and a mix of known and hidden treasures. Your itinerary will include bundled package pricing per person.

- A packaged tour or cruise up to seven nights plus one night each pre-and post-tour or cruise hotel, up to four excursions and roundtrip air booking for two people = $400. Additional components such as more excursions or nights are $25 each.
- Custom tour up to ten days including accommodations, partial package options, excursions and roundtrip air booking for two people = $600.
- Additional travelers in the same family unit are $100 each.
- Additional time for more complex itineraries or client initiated changes may be billed at $40 per hour. I will let you know in advance if I anticipate fees beyond the Research and Planning fee.

2. APPROVE THE ITINERARY, PAY SUPPLIERS, GATHER DOCUMENTS AND CONFER AND CONFIRM.
After selecting your favorite itinerary, you approve the proposal and I will then process your deposits and payments, book your travel, tours, excursions, transfers, restaurants, activities and anything else in your custom package and present your confirmed itinerary. Remember, nothing is confirmed until the deposits and/or full payments, if required, are paid. I will also assist with your selection and purchase of travel insurance, which I highly recommend.
You gather your travel documents such as your visas, if necessary, and passports and schedule any vaccinations you discover are required.
Between the date your trip is confirmed and the date of your departure, we will confer about any more details and I will confirm all the segments with the suppliers. Now, pack your bags and go have some fun! If you need anything during your trip, you may call any time. Please be mindful of time zones and try to call me at night only if you have an emergency.
